1
Pick your country
New accounts start on the setup page. You can also open it from the card on your dashboard, or use Apply country preset under Regional settings on your profile.
-
2
Say whether you are registered for VAT or GST
If you are registered, new invoices start with your country's usual tax rows, for example VAT 20% in the UK or GST 10% in Australia. If you are not, they start with no tax and the plain title "Invoice".
-
3
Check what the preset filled in
Review the currency, date format, tax rows, what your tax number is called (VAT number, ABN, GSTIN and so on) and the invoice title. Change anything that does not match your business.
-
4
Add your business and payment details
Enter your business name, address, tax number and, where your country asks for it, your company registration number. Then add the bank details customers should pay into.
-
5
Change it on any invoice
Every new invoice starts from these settings, and each one can still be changed on the invoice itself: the title, the tax rows, the tax point date and your registration number.
Tips
- Presets are a starting point, not tax advice. Check the rates and wording with your accountant or tax authority.
- Indian presets start with CGST and SGST for supplies within your state. Switch the invoice to IGST for a customer in another state.
- Turn on the tax point field if you often invoice on a different day from when you supplied the goods or services.
