How to Set Up Recurring Invoices
  1. 1

    Create a schedule

Go to Recurring > New Schedule, choose a customer, add line items, and set a billing frequency such as weekly or monthly.

  2. 2

    Set start and end dates

Define when the schedule begins and, optionally, when it should automatically stop.

  3. 3

    Let Zap Bill generate invoices

On each billing cycle, a new invoice is created automatically from the schedule template.

  4. 4

    Pause or cancel anytime

Update a schedule's status whenever a customer relationship or engagement changes.

  5. 5

    Review generated invoices

Invoices created by a schedule appear in your normal Invoices list, just like any other invoice.

Tips

  • Great for retainers, memberships, and other subscription-style billing.
  • Editing a schedule's line items only affects future invoices, not ones already generated.
  • Combine with Stripe Connect so recurring invoices can be paid online automatically.
