How to Use Invoices
  1. 1

    Create a new invoice

Go to Invoices > New Invoice, pick an existing customer or add one on the fly, and set the invoice number, date, and due date.

  2. 2

    Add line items

Add products or services manually, or pull them straight from your Catalog. Set quantity, price, and tax for each line.

  3. 3

Choose a template, currency, and date format

Pick a design under Templates and set the invoice currency — totals, tax, and discounts calculate automatically. The same settings panel sets the date format for this one invoice; leave it on "Use my default" to follow the format in your Profile.

  4. 4

    Send or share the invoice

Email the invoice directly to your customer, or generate a shareable payment link they can open in any browser.

  5. 5

    Track status and get paid

Mark invoices as sent, paid, or partially paid, record payments, and download a PDF copy at any time. Once an invoice is saved you can switch on Auto-save in its action bar, and later edits save themselves as you make them.

Tips

  • Clone an existing invoice to save time when billing a repeat customer.
  • Connect Stripe so customers can pay online directly from the invoice link.
  • Open the activity timeline on any invoice to see when it was viewed or paid.
